Volcanoes have many explosive properties, not the least of is eruptions. Sulphur has explosive components, volcanic rock and ash can have devastating effects. Here are the most common types of volcanic explosions or eruptions.
Effusive eruptions – magma rises through the surface and flows out of the volcano as a liquid called lava. Explosive eruptions – magma is torn apart as it rises and reaches the surface in pieces known as pyroclasts.
